Materials Testing, Inc. is a service organization engaged in the inspection and testing of construction materials. The company has been in business since 1974 and has gained the reputation for reliability, honesty and quality service. Materials Testing Inc also has the resources of affiliated companies, Advanced Engineering Technologies and aRoboticsCompany. Maintains a qualified staff of experienced inspectors, and technicians to provided service. Many of our inspectors maintain nationally recognized certifications professing their ability to perform the inspections that are required.

Services include, but are not limited to: field and plant inspections of controlled concrete, shop and field inspection of high strength bolts or welding, reinforcing steel and form work inspection, testing of concrete, field inspection and testing of controlled soil fill operations, field and laboratory testing and inspection of applied fireproofing materials, light gauge steel and wood framing inspections, load testing of drilled and epoxied anchors, bearing capacity of soil, masonry inspection, block and mortar testing, post tension cable inspections, floor flatness testing, steel & concrete pile driving inspection.

His vast experience encompasses a broad spectrum of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and specialized structures like naval piers and nuclear facilities. Kearns is known for his hands-on approach, often directly servicing the concrete and admixture needs of numerous high-profile projects within his geographic domain. As President, he oversees the firm's operations, staff, and client relationships, ensuring excellence in service delivery and project execution. Michael J. Reifler

Michael holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, complementing his deep-seated expertise in materials testing. As the Lab Director at Materials Testing Inc, he excels in the analysis and evaluation of structural materials, backed by certifications from the American Concrete Institute as both a Concrete Strength Testing Technician and an Aggregate Testing Laboratory Technician. Michael's distinguished career is marked by a proactive approach to project management and a commitment to advancing the field of materials testing through innovative practices and rigorous quality standards. His leadership not only enhances the capabilities of his team but also contributes significantly to the broader field of materials science and engineering.

Edward Taupier

Edward is an innovative business and technology leader with over 30 years of experience in IT and business organization optimization, particularly in the fields of mergers and acquisitions and geopolitical infrastructure projects. As the Office Manager at Materials Testing Inc, Taupier has spearheaded operational refinements and process improvements, significantly enhancing office and field efficiency. He is adept in the implementation of modern communication systems, validation of laboratory equipment, and design of safety-compliant field operation tools. Taupier's multifaceted expertise extends to special inspections, ACI and ICC certifications, and leadership in ACI/AASHTO lab testing and NVLAP certification processes. His role encompasses a dynamic blend of in-field client coordination and advanced training development for inspectors, ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence at Materials Testing Inc.
